Mistakes are worthwhile Achievements

04/09/2019 – For my kin and Kith. “Even a mistake may turn out to be the one thing necessary to a worthwhile achievement” Henry Ford advised. Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was an American industrialist and a business magnate, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production.

With the current economic fundamentals today, no one should sit comfortably on their laurels and facebooking, whatsapping, instagramming, selfing the who day and night. Not ukwikala fye NDWII umungulu mungulufye. Umuntu kusakana. Kweshako. Ukutatala. Bembas have a very funny saying, “Mukashi wandi njipikila isembe, ifintu kwesha besha” (Ask your neighbour to interpret for you.

When you attempt something ambitious and make a mistake, you can fix that mistake. But if you never make the attempt, you can’t go back and reclaim the wasted opportunity. Act, create, speak, build, write, sing, dance, explore, even if you do it badly at first. You’ll get better and better as you go along. The catch word is to start something. Embark on that dream. That assignment you have been thinking of.

Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward. – Henry Ford encouraged us.

Be willing to be a fool and you’ll be able to be a genius. The greatest achievements are those that have never been done before. What have you never done before? What purpose have you avoided fulfilling because you didn’t know how or where to start?

Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path. – Phillip Sweet

The place to start is precisely where you are. The way to start is to do whatever you’re able to do, without any further delay. Write the first draft, and then you’ll have something to edit. Take the first action, and suddenly you’ll be on the path to achievement.
Have a blessed week and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. KEKK 09/2019
